本次研討會共有十一篇文章發表，可以概略分為宗教與政治、聖經詮釋、神學反省以及信仰實踐四個範疇，從不同角度梳釐信仰與民主政治的關係及其中的諸多變數。

台灣本土神學從黃彰輝發展直到今日，宋泉盛的故事神學仍是一條值得繼續開拓的路線。這不僅因為他的故事神學從1970年代開始一直延續到今，也因為他啟發並影響了不少後來有志研究台灣本土神學的學者。因此故事神學的方法論問題值得繼續追問下去。如何建立故事神學的方法論是作者在本書中關注的主要問題。
